From the moment our guests enter their suite, they will find luxury and
comfort surrounding them. As their eyes look over the beautifully
decorated interiors, the whimsical charm of the suite will capture their
attention.
We offer king sized beds, with plush linens and pillows. Each non smoking
suite has a large living/dining room combination and a full kitchen,
stocked with a good assortment of beverages and snacks.
Each of our
spacious living areas, have a large color television, and direct TV
satellite service. Our main bath area has a custom built in shower, as
well as an additional half bath for your convenience.
A free complimentary full country breakfast at Victor's Cafeteria is
included in your stay. Victor's Cafeteria is where Dave Robicheaux
eats.....Dave is a fictional character, who has won the hearts of many,
that have enjoyed reading the books of our famous local author, and
mystery writer, James Lee Burke.

Your Host and Hostess welcome you to A Touch of Country

cottage and surroundings. Early morning spring breezes, bring with it,
singing birds and beautiful butterflies.
Our guest cottages are
conveniently located on a one acre tract just a five minute drive from our
world famous Tabasco Pepper Sauce Factory, and an eight minute drive
from our Historic
Downtown District.
We will be happy to make suggestions and help you complete your itinerary
of things to see and do while visiting "Acadiana", this unique
part of Louisiana. This area has so much to offer, from great foods
and festivals, historical points of interest, lively cajun music, horse
racing, and casino's, there's something here for everyone.
When you stay with us at A Touch of Country, we like to do as the French
speaking cajun people do, an that is offer you "Lagniappe",
which simply means giving a little something
extra.
Our
location is just minutes away from the downtown business district,
where you'll find Shadows on the Teche, Historic Plantation Home, Conrad
Rice Mill, (the oldest operating rice mill in the United States), as well
as shopping, dining, and entertainment, not to mention, all of the
wonderful area attractions that are found throughout our wonderful cajun
heartland
